11: I definitely got into Aretha Franklin and a lot of soul girl groups stuff (Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Supremes, Marvelettes, Lesley Gore, Shangri-Las, etc.) because of my Mom and the music she played me. She loves the Beatles and John Lennon too and even though I’m not as a big a fan as she is, I like what I like of them because of her exposing me to it. Oh, I also used to be SCARED of Yoko Ono’s stuff but now I dig it! And I think I developed a love for some classic rock because of my Dad, but he didn’t play music much when I was around.
